FLOWER POWER…….something to celebrate!

Welcome to Flower Power where the saying goes:  “Wear happy, share happy, be happy”.  Simple as that.  These happiness blooms are created with love and aloha by me!

For many years now, I have worn a flower in my hair.  Funny thing is that I am from the prairies in Canada and regularly started wearing a flower in my hair in the winter after a tropical holiday we took.  Totally non-typical and out of place.  I think that’s what I liked about it……it made me feel happy and reminded me that it truly is a good life, wherever you are!

I would get many comments from people when they saw me still wearing a flower months later.  I rarely went out in public without it.  The flower continued to make me feel grateful and happy, and I know it made other people feel happy too.  It’s at the point now where if I’m not wearing my flower, people who know me will ask if there is something wrong.  It’s as second nature to me as brushing my teeth and having random dance parties.

So this is where things get fun.  I have decided to share the happiness.  Cuz like who made the rule that says you should only wear a flower when you’re on a tropical holiday?  That rule totally needs to be broken!!

Each flower is on a clip so you can put them in your hair, on your hat, on your cat, on your headband, on your lapel, on your lampshade, or whatever flips your clip!  They are $12 Cdn (taxes in) plus shipping and packaged up all special and fun.  I have a large selection of sizes and colors depending on what flowers are available and make me stop in my tracks with stars in my eyes.  Oh and because you are so special and unique and awesome, each flower also includes a handwritten message of aloha just for YOU.  Baby, you’re worth it!

Happiness.  Positively!  (Let’s keep this movement “moving” my friends….)

With aloha,

Caron

Ps.  I am sooooo excited to tell you that I am bringing in a huge assortment of tropical flowers from Hawaii and I will post pictures to let you know when those are available!

Happy Aloha Friday – Choose HAPPY.

It’s Aloha Friday today so happy Aloha Friday to YOU and absolutely everyone!

We have fond memories of our year in Hawaii…..the friendships, the experiences, the stunning views, the mana (good energy) and definitely the aloha spirit.  Aloha Friday would be the equivalent to what we refer to as “casual Fridays”.  Typically, people will wear their aloha attire to work and it’s of course a time for many to acknowledge the end of a work week.   Wooohooo!  Aloha Fridays involve “get together’s”, celebrations and all things happy.  This is something that people anywhere and everywhere can do.

I invite you to make it a happy Aloha Friday, a happy Friday, a happy day today and any day that you choose.  Choose to see the good, choose optimism, choose gratitude, choose to do good, choose aloha and choose happy wherever you are.  Magical things happen to us and to others when we make that choice……

To happy dances and joyful prances,

Caron

Wide awake in “dreamland”…….

When I was 4 years old I got my first pair of “runners”.  I can describe them in great detail.  They were red plaid and had white laces – there you go!  And because they were called “runners”, I didn’t even question the fact that when I put them on, it meant that I was supposed to run………non stop.  I remember running back and forth in our home from one end to the other.  At some point, my parents must have told me that I could wear these “runners” and simply walk, skip, leap or any of those other fun moves that children do.  Good thing because I was getting tired!!

My brother, sister and I played “make believe” very often and somewhere out there we have the pictures to prove it.  My brother liked to wear a Tupperware measuring container on his head (ugh, he’s going to not like me saying this) and tie his “blanket” (I think he called it a “manky” – ugh again) around his neck and pretended he was a superhero or warrior or something.  Well, I was the oldest so he probably took on whatever role I told him too!  We would play “boat” in a big, old cardboard box and use my baton as the oar.  We would line up our Dr. Suess books on the floor and “walk the path” ensuring that we didn’t fall off into the water.  My sister would play house with her gentle cat and her cat would miraculously play the part of a “baby”…..wearing the clothes and snuggled in a stroller!  I kid you not.  I vividly remember lying on the grass and looking up at the clouds in the sky and wondering what it would be like to jump from cloud to cloud like an adventurer.  Or fly around like a fairy.  Wouldn’t that be fun………..

I am sure that many of you played “make believe” and used your imagination when you were young as well.  Dreaming was something we did often.  Pretending “as if” and using whatever was handy to make your dream come to life.  And sometimes there were no “props”; we just pretended they were there.  Remember that?  But it sure felt as if they were there, didn’t it?

When our daughters were young, they very frequently played a game that they called “being”.  They would just come up with a happy scenario and act it out with whatever they had, wherever they were and whenever they wanted (which was often).  We would pretend not to watch because then they would stop their routine.  It was so magical to watch their stories unfold!

Thinking back on these times reminds me that it was the experiences and not the “things” that created those vivid moments.  It didn’t matter what we had, we made it work so that things came to life.  What a beautiful lesson!  It was the belief in the vision that made it real – even though it was “as if”.  There was no doubt in our minds that what we had created was our reality at that moment.

I realize that life can get complex as we get out into the world and switch from dreams to reality.  Yikes.  However, I am still a true advocate for dreaming, believing and believing in your dreams.  You can also call it visualizing and manifesting and IT WORKS!  Pay attention to the limiting beliefs, blocks and fears that are presented to you as these signs need some examining and understanding so that you can break through them.   Continue to dream and believe from the purest, most loving place with 100% conviction and faith.  You will be amazed at how the so-called serendipities unfold!

Yours in the world of dreams,

Caron

PS – I really do want to be a fairy and fly around, spreading glitter and magic. Stay tuned for an update on that adventure.  Anyone want to join me?

The time of your life……….the life of your time.

The topic for my post for this week changed direction and became very clear to me after yesterday’s events.

We received a phone call that our daughter and her best friend were in a very bad car accident.  This is one of the worst calls that anyone can receive.  By the grace of god, divine intervention, miracles of angels – call it what you will, they walked away with minor injuries.  Two families are counting their blessings today and as before, we will continue to live our lives in love and gratitude daily.  I recognize that other stories turn out quite differently than ours did.  For those of you out there, I send you light and love.

How quickly things can change in all of our lives.  I wrote the words “love the life of your time” in my journal about a week ago, just capturing another “thought passing through”.  This brings me to a gentle reminder for you today.

Live the time of your life.

Please live the time of your life as fully as possible.  Notice people, show compassion and kindness, do good, reach out to family and friends regularly, reconnect with one another, do your best to forgive, practice non-judgement, make amends and make a difference.  Do, try, learn, grow, redo if you have to, retry and be proud of that, evolve, recharge, refresh, rethink and keep going.  Be brave, speak your truth, live with passion and share your story because you matter!

Love the life of your time.

Please love the life of your time the best that you can.  No one knows how much time we have here.  Celebrate you, celebrate others and celebrate the gift of sharing in this life together.  Have fun, be silly, colour, doodle, draw, do a happy dance, sing, play, laugh lots and write.  Care for yourself, care for others, appreciate yourself and others, respect yourself and others and encourage yourself and others.    Believe and dream, believe in your dreams, and move confidently in the direction of your dreams!

Here’s to our “lifetime”!

With blessings, love, light and gratitude,

Caron
