The launch of “LIVE ALOHA”!!!

This is it folks……..it is truly happening!!

My husband Rob, my sister Lorie and I have joined together and we are ready (as ready as we can be) to launch a business!  In fact, as I type this marketing has begun.  Yes, these are exciting times and the journey to this point has been interesting to say the least.  We are 3 optimistic people who believe in the power of making our dreams come true and inspiring others to do the same.  We are following our passion of making the world a better place, of spreading a message of kindness, love & hope.  We are living aloha.

Our business is called Live Aloha!  Our mission is to spread the positive message of aloha globally.  We are doing this through lifestyle products that promote this as well as through events, stories and whatever method we find to “get it out there” (this may or may not involve random dance parties)!

Aloha is one of the most beautiful and powerful words in the world:

Aloha is a Hawaiian word typically associated with greeting another person with hello or good-bye. The literal meaning of aloha is “the presence of breath” or “the breath of life.” It comes from “Alo,” meaning presence, front and face, and “ha,” meaning breath. It also has a deeper impact on the Hawaiian culture. For the Hawaiians, it is “The Aloha Spirit” – a unique way of living, the ultimate lifestyle, and the secret to a full and happy life.

Aloha is not only a word, it is a way of living, an attitude and expresses guidelines

to help us in our lives – kindness, patience, compassion, respect, togetherness,

affection, empathy, peace, & love.

Aloha means we are able to recognize and appreciate the uniqueness and differences each of us bring into this world. Honor and respect your family, friends, and all the people who pass through your life. Every point of contact with another person teaches us something about life or about ourselves.  Aloha does not pass judgement on others for it always trusts, always hopes and always protects.

It is that aloha, caring and spirituality that allows us to build on each others strengths and join together on this magnificent journey we call “Life”.

We are choosing to live aloha and here’s why:

There are plenty of reasons to be frustrated with the state of the world and life right now.  And there are many people focusing on what’s wrong, what will go wrong and living a fear based life as a result of this.  This mindset perpetuates all facets of people’s experiences and affects thoughts, words and actions.  So the cycle continues.  We are choosing to spread a movement and way of life to change this for ourselves and others.

My husband Rob and I have shared in plenty of experiences during their 34 year adventure together.  Opportunities/challenges, joy/sadness, happiness/heartache, learning/growing, happiness/frustration, abundance/setbacks, things that most people can certainly relate to.  Through everything, we choose to live a life of optimism, of wonder and of believing that goodness prevails.  Our travels have taken us to the Hawaiian Islands several times and we were instantly captivated by not only the beauty but of the mana (energy) that exists.  This mana, the kindness of the people and the breath-taking beauty of this magical place brought us back many times.  We had the privilege of living and working in Hawaii for a year and we made a commitment to submerge ourselves into the culture to gain a deeper understanding of the people and history of Hawaii.  It was then that we discovered the beauty of “living aloha”.  We volunteered; we networked with the locals; I joined Halau Kiuwailehua (hula studio); we supported local businesses, met the hardworking owners and learned of their stories; we went where the locals went; I joined Toastmasters; Rob learned about Hawaiian business; we gained knowledge, understanding and compassion of the Hawaiian history and way of life.

Lorie is an entrepreneur at heart who has impacted many with her grace and generosity.  She honors her own stories, experiences and personal growth which have propelled her to new heights of learning.  This new level of learning has excelled Lorie’s skills in business by promoting positive experience in business.  Lorie shares in the passion of “living aloha” and spreading this message globally to create positive change in a world that needs it more than ever.

There are plenty of reasons to be hopeful with the state of the world and life right now.  There are many people focusing on what’s good, what will go right and living a love based life as a result of this.  This mindset perpetuates all facets of people’s experiences and affects thoughts, words and actions.  So the cycle continues.  We are choosing to spread a movement and way of life to continue this for ourselves and others.  We are choosing to live aloha!

How we are going to do this:

Rob, Lorie and I each have unique talents and gifts, just as everyone on this world of wonder does.  Joining together to “be and do more” is exciting and believing that we can make a good difference in people’s lives is even more exciting.  Together the three of us will spread the beautiful and powerful message of “Live Aloha” globally, wherever people are, through merchandise, stories, adventures and positive actions.

The ripple effect of aloha:

Its deep meaning starts by teaching ourselves to love our own beings first and afterwards to spread the love to others.

A life of Aloha is one when the heart is so full that it has the power to influence others around you with your spirit. The best part of Aloha is that the more you express your love and compassion for yourself and those around you, the more it comes back to you.

Use the word aloha with a pure heart and good intention.
Be guided by aloha and make good choices.
Live aloha wherever you are!

Yes, these are exciting times.  As I have mentioned many, many times, a dream forever stays in your head and heart until you take action on it.  I have also mentioned many, many times that it is never too late to launch that business, take that class, join that club, learn something new, do something brave, live out loud, wander and wonder.  Things may not go exactly as you envisioned, but I guarantee you will learn something valuable, you will come out ahead and you just might find that it is the best decision you have ever made!

Go on a check us out at www.livealoha.ca (for all of our Canadian friends and family) and www.livealoha.com (for all of our global friends and family).  Follow us on Instagram @livealohaco (we love instagram).  Follow us on Facebook @livealoha (getting better at this).  Look for our “Live Aloha” party bus coming through your area in the near future where there will be bubbles, dancing, rockin’ Live Aloha merchandise so you can “wear good, spread good, live good”, probably some glitter, but most of all a whole lotta LOVE!

With aloha,

Caron, Rob and Lorie

The incredible story of our March 24-27 retreat theme “Reflecting, feeling, connecting, healing”….

It was last August when once again, I awoke with an epiphany.  This time it was words.  Just four words.  This happens frequently so I ensure that I have something nearby to capture my thoughts passing through.  I clumsily jotted down the words that came to me in this order “Reflecting, Feeling, Connecting, Healing”…..and fell back asleep.

A few days later, I was with my friend Jeanni whom I had only met a few months before.  We may have just recently met but we felt as though we’d known each other forever.  When Jeanni and I get together, the magic and ideas flow incredibly.  One of our discussions had led to the idea of hosting a retreat and we both lit up with joy and possibilities.  On this day, I couldn’t wait to tell Jeanni about my “four words” as they seemed to be a perfect fit for a theme of our retreat.

Our get together was fabulous; we never stop throwing out ideas, dreams and what-ifs.  I shared with Jeanni my “aha moment” from a few nights before and she was excited and intrigued.  She agreed that this would be a very fitting theme for our event.

A few days later Jeanni messaged me that she had something to share with me and told me that I wouldn’t believe what she had to show me.  I couldn’t wait to hear!  When I arrived at her place, Jeanni had a journal out on the counter.  She explained to me that a few years earlier, she had been jotting down ideas about things she wanted to do.  One of them was possibly host a retreat with someone.  When I had shown her my four words that had appeared to me, she knew she has seen those words before.  She remembered where…..in a journal that she had!  In this journal, arched along the top of a page, IN THE EXACT SAME ORDER, were the same four words.  “Reflecting, Feeling, Connecting, Healing”.  Two years earlier!

We cannot make this stuff up.  This experience validated that the universe works in magical ways. That there are beautiful synchronicities and no coincidences.  That living in wonder, dreaming and believing propels us to places, people and situations that seem “unreal” but are very “real”.  That we are always receiving “signs” to get our attention, to guide us and help us in our journeys.  And that there is always, always hope.

Our “Spring into Action” retreat with the theme of “Reflecting, Feeling, Connecting, Healing” is planned for March 24 to 27 in the beautiful Naramata, BC, Canada.  Jeanni and I will join together with other amazing women on this learning and growing journey and we could not be more grateful.  The adventure continues….

In joy & possibilities,

Caron

PSwe still have room and we would love to have YOU to join us!  Jeanni and I have been very mindful of budget and have made this an “all inclusive” event which includes accommodations, healthy meals, retreat materials, a welcome package, inspirational take-home items created by you, learning, FUN and growth for only $577.  All you have to do is get here!  Remember, being removed from your usual environment is more conducive to growth and learning……consider this a mini-vacation (with extra benefits) that you are so deserving of!

Tips to help you keep goin’ and growin’ in your journey….

Have any of you noticed how many people are struggling right now?  Whether it’s dealing with challenges, obstacles, frustration, feeling stuck, financial hardship, anger, regret….you name it.  I have noticed.  I have faced a lot of these things too.  You’ve no doubt heard the saying that when one of us hurts, we all hurt.

I’ve had to learn some hard lessons.  I’ve written a lot about celebrating the contrast; we cannot appreciate light without darkness, joy without sorrow, success without failure.  We cannot fix everything or everyone.  At some point in our lives we all make poor choices and decisions and experience “shoulda/woulda/coulda” moments.  We question some relationships and ponder over people’s behaviors.  WHY?  WHY?  WHY!!!

We all have a lot in common don’t we?  Once we engage in honest and authentic conversations with people, we realize how very much alike we are.  We are definitely not alone and that it comforting.  I have discovered some things (FREE things!) that have significantly helped me and continue to help me as I navigate along and make the best of my journey.  Here is what I have learned:

  1. We can always learn and grow.  We all stumble, we all fall.  Never stop improving yourself.  EVER.
  2. We have control over something powerful……our thoughts, our words, our actions and our reactions.  Choose wisely and carefully.
  3. Everyone is doing the best they can with what they know and where they are.  Think about that.  We are all together in this journey, YES, but we are all unique.  Do not judge.  Respect one another.
  4. Optimism and gratitude are game-changers and create magic & miracles in transforming our lives.
  5. People are craving to be noticed.  A smile, a gesture, a sincere “hello” can change someone’s day or future.  Again, we cannot fix everything or everyone but we can influence hope and connection with kindness and compassion.   Even to those who we may think deserve it the least.  Again, refer to #3.
  6. People change, relationships change, it’s okay.  Celebrate the good memories, learn from the not so good, bless everyone and carry on.  Regret and resentment serves no one and takes up space in our heads.  Put a reserved sign on that valuable parking spot for goodness and growth.
  7. Celebrate the contrast!  Learn from mistakes and challenges, go forward the best you can through obstacles, grow, be better, be stronger.
  8. Trying new things adds major fun, whimsy and excitement to life.  Take that class, join that group, volunteer for that organization who needs you, learn that instrument, dance in your kitchen, wave to random people, sing in the grocery store…..you get the picture!
  9. Keep dreaming BIG, keep believing BIGGER, and by all means take action (BIGGEST) or that dream forever stays in your head.  Even if things do not go as planned, you tried and you will without a doubt……learn, grow and know!

Your journey.  The story of YOU!

In celebration, joy and love,

Caron

PS – YOU are definitely not alone….

Face your fears! My story of “Don’t Hold Back”…….

Today, I am sharing a story with you of how facing our fears can bring about the most unexpected and incredible experiences.

The graphic I have attached may be a bit difficult to read so I’d like to share my story.  Because my story can be anyone’s story.  Of that, I am sure.

I’m sure you have heard the saying that the biggest fears for most people are death and public speaking.   Harsh? Maybe.  Certainly not the case for everyone, but I suspect it is for many, many people.

For a  majority of my life, I was an introvert.  I was rather shy and quiet.  I would certainly be the last one to speak in class while at school (do not make eye contact and you won’t be asked!).  I was always intimidated about what others thought of me and anything remotely associated with speaking in public was as far on the opposite end of my comfort level as one could possibly get.  Even sharing this with you brings back those feelings and emotions.

As an adult, this fear still existed.  As I became more comfortable with my purpose, passion and self, the fear of “speaking up” took more of back seat but it was always lurking around, yes lurking, ugh.  This is why it came as such a surprise to me when I was given the opportunity to present a motivational program to health care employees about 5 years ago and……..I was excited.  The thrill of the opportunity to spread a message of hope, healing and  inspiration to people over-road my fear of speaking.  I had found my calling and something that brought a spark of “what if” to my world.   It was a year after this that I decided to start my own business, A Good & Kind Company, which was in perfect alignment with not only my personal values but also with what I feel the world needs right now.   We need more kindness, compassion, non-judgement, love, peace, gratitude, fun, joy and laughter.   We need it because a lot of the things that we are doing is not working.    We see signs of unhappy people everyday, everywhere we go.

In November 2013, I traveled to Boston to become certified as an Infinite Possibilities trainer, a program developed by Mike Dooley.  Mike is well known as an international best selling author and speaker, from his appearance on “The Secret” as well as his daily “Notes from the Universe”.  While at this event, we were encouraged to sign up for Toastmasters which would provide us with confidence, the ability to connect with an audience and more effectively share our message.  I clearly remember immediately thinking that NO, I was fine and would not need to join.  Thank you anyways!

About a year later, Rob and I secured a one year work visa for Hawaii, yes Hawaii.  This is another story of a life-changing adventure, which I will be sharing.  I worked diligently on my business while there, writing, networking and developing strategies.  I often thought about speaking and that excited me.  Toastmasters popped into my mind one day and by then it was June; our visas expired in October.  I decided to make the call.

The next thing I knew, I was at my first meeting in Waikiki!  I was warmly greeted, got settled in and felt very comfortable.  I wanted to clarify that I would not have to speak and I was assured that  I would be fine.  Things were looking good until…….I was called up to speak during the Table Topics session.   Two things happened after that:  I made them laugh and I won the award for the most “ahs” and “ums”.   I joined Toastmasters then and there.  My next decision surprises me to this day.  I had three months until we would be returning to Canada and I decided to finish my Competent Communicator manual during this time.  That was 13 weeks to finish 10 speeches, which meant I had to speak at almost every meeting!  Don’t hold back Caron.  I presented this to my club and thank them to this day for being flexible and accommodating my goal.  There is no turning back now Caron, let’s get at ‘er!

I did finish my manual, I was nervous giving every speech, I did receive great feedback and support to help me in my speaking journey, and I absolutely did face a huge fear.  Good grief, looking back I would have never thought I would have done this.  The ripple effect of “not holding back” has been incredible.  I was honored last November by receiving the club’s Outstanding Toastmaster award.  I have confidence and continue on my Toastmasters journey in BC.  I have the proof and validation that anyone can face their fears.  No matter our age, our situation, our limiting beliefs or what others think.

Last month, my Waikiki Toastmasters story was featured in the Member Achievements Section of the Toastmasters International magazine.  How exciting, what a journey for me and what a message of hope for absolutely anyone else.  I encourage you to simply believe because the only one holding us back is ourselves.

To facing fears, growing and moving forward,

Caron

Remember to laugh often – even if it’s at yourself!

It’s really great (and beneficial) to laugh often, especially at ourselves.  It keeps things fresh and fun and helps us to “lighten up”.  There are always challenges, obstacles and set-backs in life, but doing our best to find some humour in our day is most certainly a cost-effective coping technique!  In fact, laughter has been proven to reduce stress, depression, anger, anxiety, improve circulatory & cardiovascular health, boost the immune system, improve digestion, alleviate pain, relax muscles and one good belly laugh burns off 3.5 calories!!!

Children laugh approximately 400 times a day; adults laugh 15; somewhere along the journey we have lost 385 laughs a day.

Last week I launched my first t-shirt design in the “Share good – Feel good” campaign.  I was so excited that I told a few people I was going to do cartwheels.  I put on my magical shirt which makes a person want to do all sorts of  “good and fun” things and headed outside.

Our youngest daughter was visiting us so she put a shirt on as well and we got geared up for our performance.  It was surprisingly mild outside despite the snow, about -5 degrees celcius (and yes, we typically do wear coats in this weather)!

20160214_121229 (2)20160214_121420_002 (2)20160214_121420_005 (2)

Now here’s the thing…….It’s been a while since I have done a cartwheel.  My daughter of course, completed hers with the ease of a pro and made it appear to be something I could pull off.  However, I was a bit nervous of toppling over on our driveway so I opted to “give it a go” in the deeper snow for “cushioning”.  Let me explain the picture where it appears as though I am diving face first into the snow……I AM!  UGH.  I took a run and once my hands met the ground, I realized that the snow was deeper than I anticipated.  Oh oh…..this is not going to work at all.  I was temporarily suspended in the most awkward position much to the laughter (and confusion) of my daughter.  I can honestly tell you that these goofy pictures brought on hysterical outbursts of laughter afterwards.  I think they’re funny too and I hope they bring you some joy (or maybe you’ll just question my choice of “fun”).

20160214_122010_007 (2)20160214_121948_008 (2)20160214_122055_016 (2)

I did finally give my skills a chance on firmer ground and as you see the first attempt there is not “pretty” either.  Aaaaand of course, my daughter performs another “10”.  However, after much flailing around, I did finally make it up and over.  WOOOHOOO.  Now, that called for a celebratory “joy jump”!!

So here’s to fun and good and silly and laughing (even if it’s at ourselves).  Let’s get back some of those 385 laughs a day we have lost my friends.

Together in the journey,

Caron

Always be yourself. Unless……….

Well, what can I say?  Those of you who know me will not be surprised to read this post, especially my family!  I’ve been quite vocal about being true to ourselves, and letting our own uniqueness shine.  Indeed.  Then on the other end of dreamland I have quite often expressed that I want to be a fairy in my next life.  Now, in the unlikely event that some cosmic wires get crossed in the awesomeness of time and space, I thought I had better give my best attempt to live some of that dream now.

I believe that this all started when I was 4 years old and my mom took me to my first movie at a theatre.  The movie was Thumbelina or some sort of animated version of that with fairies and all things wonderful.  I could not believe the amazing experience I was having and all the excitement on the big screen and how things were so big and pretty and “how does this happen mom” and “can we do this again mom” and “I want to do that too mom” and…. well apparently I would not quit talking (really sorry about that mom).  The fairy dream could originate from realizing and knowing how magical life truly is or from loving all things that sparkle and glitter.  I don’t know, perhaps a bit of both!

Always be yourself………everyone else is taken!

Of course it’s so important to always be yourself.   I’ve written before about this important topic and of sharing your gifts and talents with the world.  It’s so exciting to realize who we truly are and what our calling is in the world.  To find alignment with our talents and purpose and to not allow others to sway us from our own light.  To be open to learning, growing, evolving, re-thinking, refreshing, renewing or simply starting over.  That’s the real “magic” of life.  So perhaps I would like to use my wand to sprinkle this epiphany on the world.  At the same time to share hope, peace and happiness with everyone because we are all in this journey together my friends.  Wow, yeah that sounds like the most AWESOME plan!

So here’s the deal.  Sometimes it really is fun to connect to our youth, to be playful and silly, to share little bits of our fun and whimsical self with others, to dream and let those dreams manifest in some way.  It connects us as human beings.  There are certainly lots of serious things that will pop up in our lives, we all know that.  That’s why self-care, loving relationships and living in gratitude and kindness are so important.  But it’s sure exciting to consider (and believe in) the journey that “pretending” will take us on!

So let’s just go with this.  I thank you for taking the time to read a little bit of “whimsy” about me.  I just need to figure out the flying part (a temporary obstacle); everything else should be good to go.

Should you see me out with there with wings and a wand….sprinkling love, hope, happiness, peace, glitter and pixie dust…..just smile and wave my friends, just smile and wave!

Yours in dreaming & believing (& sparkles),

Caron

Celebrating Global Infinite Possibilities Day. Start with love….

Today, August 8, 2015 has been declared Global Infinite Possibilities Day!  In the words of the inspiring Mike Dooley (www.tut.com) and his incredible team who gave this vision “wings”:

“August 8 is a day of double 8’s. Just imagine the possibilities on a day with two infinity signs in it! Let’s do something fun and flood the web with wonderful insights, goals and dreams, and images that represent infinite possibilities in your life! This is a time to breathe fresh, positive energy and desires into the world.”

I had the privilege of taking 2 courses from Mike Dooley over the past 2 years:  Playing the Matrix and Infinite Possibilities – The Art of Living Your Dreams.  I became a certified trainer at the Infinite Possibilities training in Boston and that was most certainly a huge step in my personal transformation.  Although I was on a path of self-discovery and had visions, dreams and goals, this event validated that I was indeed on the right path.  Let me be clear and transparent, I have lived a life of ups and downs, I have felt stuck, I have wondered what my path was, my purpose, had an “is this all there is” mentality, made some poor choices and decisions, didn’t speak when I should have, didn’t act when I should have, coulda/woulda/shoulda – UGH.  But when I look back, I was definitely more happy than I was sad, I was certainly more optimistic than I was pessimistic, I had a unbelievable support system of loving family & friends, I definitely danced when and where I wanted, I fought through fear to reach goals, I felt gratitude more than I felt entitlement, I valued kindness more than judgement, yeah I think I did okay.  Would you like to know the biggest epiphany for me?  Once I discovered to truly love me, things really changed.  This may sound selfish, but it’s SO necessary.

When you love yourself………your experiences, your relationship with others, and your life changes.

I have tapped into me and I feel more alive than ever.  I want to show others that it’s possible to follow your dreams, despite your age, your current situation, what other’s tell you. what you feel is expected of you or what you have gone through.  I want to notice people.  I want to have conversations with people.  I want to inspire and teach other’s how to tap into themselves and to be brave and to trust in their journey.  These practices have made it easier for me to deal with any challenges that come my way and we all know…….they are still going to come our way!  As it has been said, there are only 2 places of being “love or fear”.  I choose love.  I love me and when I do that, that love goes out to you.  Then it goes out into a world that needs it more than ever and it comes back to each one of us in incredible ways.  Just like the infinity sign!  Please love yourself.

One fear that I have faced is I have joined Toastmasters.  Now if you would have asked me a year ago about joining I would have quickly said, “no, that’s okay” with BIG EYES (and sweaty palms)!  It was Mike and Andy Dooley who encouraged all of us Infinite Possibility trainers to join Toastmasters.  Even back then in Boston, I said to myself “no, that’s okay”!   This is just one example of a fear I have faced and I have lived most of my life with limiting beliefs.  But overcoming this one has been a “biggee” for me and guess what the ripple effect of facing this fear is?  I am going to start holding *C.A.R.E. TM Shops that are based on the Infinite Possibilities principles.  Yep, I am.  This fall, I am going to start doing that.  I am going to share stories, I am going to speak with confidence, I am going to mess up and know that it’s okay, we are going to laugh, dance, have fun, reflect, break down barriers, talk about beliefs, talk about dreams and taking action on those dreams, no matter how big or how small they are.  We are going to ride the wave of infinite possibilities like rock stars.  And in the end, there will be glitter fireworks (still working this small detail out) wrapping us all in hope, love and happiness!  Stay tuned for tour dates.

What are your dreams and desires?  What limiting beliefs or fears do you have in regards to reaching those goals?

This may be my journey but my journey is your journey.  I want you to know that although I choose love, fear still creeps up on me with thoughts of ‘I can’t do this’, ‘I’m not good enough’, ‘I have nothing to say’, ‘I am going to be embarrassed’, ‘I MIGHT FAIL’.  That’s okay.  I acknowledge those feelings (which until recently, paralyzed me), send them on their way and celebrate that I never thought I would write, design graphics, teach a dance class, take hula lessons, finish post-secondary school 20 years later, still be able to do the splits (true story – haha!), become a Certified Laughter Leader, become an Infinite Possibilities trainer and I certainly never thought I would be brave enough to speak publicly.  But when I look back, the signs were all there.  At my *C.A.R.E.TM Shops I will talk about how the universe sent me loving signs until I paid attention.  The signs are there for you too.

I celebrate you.  Start with love.

Yours in infinite possibilities,

Caron

*C.A.R.E. TM = Celebrate, Appreciate, Respect, Encourage

Wide awake in “dreamland”…….

When I was 4 years old I got my first pair of “runners”.  I can describe them in great detail.  They were red plaid and had white laces – there you go!  And because they were called “runners”, I didn’t even question the fact that when I put them on, it meant that I was supposed to run………non stop.  I remember running back and forth in our home from one end to the other.  At some point, my parents must have told me that I could wear these “runners” and simply walk, skip, leap or any of those other fun moves that children do.  Good thing because I was getting tired!!

My brother, sister and I played “make believe” very often and somewhere out there we have the pictures to prove it.  My brother liked to wear a Tupperware measuring container on his head (ugh, he’s going to not like me saying this) and tie his “blanket” (I think he called it a “manky” – ugh again) around his neck and pretended he was a superhero or warrior or something.  Well, I was the oldest so he probably took on whatever role I told him too!  We would play “boat” in a big, old cardboard box and use my baton as the oar.  We would line up our Dr. Suess books on the floor and “walk the path” ensuring that we didn’t fall off into the water.  My sister would play house with her gentle cat and her cat would miraculously play the part of a “baby”…..wearing the clothes and snuggled in a stroller!  I kid you not.  I vividly remember lying on the grass and looking up at the clouds in the sky and wondering what it would be like to jump from cloud to cloud like an adventurer.  Or fly around like a fairy.  Wouldn’t that be fun………..

I am sure that many of you played “make believe” and used your imagination when you were young as well.  Dreaming was something we did often.  Pretending “as if” and using whatever was handy to make your dream come to life.  And sometimes there were no “props”; we just pretended they were there.  Remember that?  But it sure felt as if they were there, didn’t it?

When our daughters were young, they very frequently played a game that they called “being”.  They would just come up with a happy scenario and act it out with whatever they had, wherever they were and whenever they wanted (which was often).  We would pretend not to watch because then they would stop their routine.  It was so magical to watch their stories unfold!

Thinking back on these times reminds me that it was the experiences and not the “things” that created those vivid moments.  It didn’t matter what we had, we made it work so that things came to life.  What a beautiful lesson!  It was the belief in the vision that made it real – even though it was “as if”.  There was no doubt in our minds that what we had created was our reality at that moment.

I realize that life can get complex as we get out into the world and switch from dreams to reality.  Yikes.  However, I am still a true advocate for dreaming, believing and believing in your dreams.  You can also call it visualizing and manifesting and IT WORKS!  Pay attention to the limiting beliefs, blocks and fears that are presented to you as these signs need some examining and understanding so that you can break through them.   Continue to dream and believe from the purest, most loving place with 100% conviction and faith.  You will be amazed at how the so-called serendipities unfold!

Yours in the world of dreams,

Caron

PS – I really do want to be a fairy and fly around, spreading glitter and magic. Stay tuned for an update on that adventure.  Anyone want to join me?

The time of your life……….the life of your time.

The topic for my post for this week changed direction and became very clear to me after yesterday’s events.

We received a phone call that our daughter and her best friend were in a very bad car accident.  This is one of the worst calls that anyone can receive.  By the grace of god, divine intervention, miracles of angels – call it what you will, they walked away with minor injuries.  Two families are counting their blessings today and as before, we will continue to live our lives in love and gratitude daily.  I recognize that other stories turn out quite differently than ours did.  For those of you out there, I send you light and love.

How quickly things can change in all of our lives.  I wrote the words “love the life of your time” in my journal about a week ago, just capturing another “thought passing through”.  This brings me to a gentle reminder for you today.

Live the time of your life.

Please live the time of your life as fully as possible.  Notice people, show compassion and kindness, do good, reach out to family and friends regularly, reconnect with one another, do your best to forgive, practice non-judgement, make amends and make a difference.  Do, try, learn, grow, redo if you have to, retry and be proud of that, evolve, recharge, refresh, rethink and keep going.  Be brave, speak your truth, live with passion and share your story because you matter!

Love the life of your time.

Please love the life of your time the best that you can.  No one knows how much time we have here.  Celebrate you, celebrate others and celebrate the gift of sharing in this life together.  Have fun, be silly, colour, doodle, draw, do a happy dance, sing, play, laugh lots and write.  Care for yourself, care for others, appreciate yourself and others, respect yourself and others and encourage yourself and others.    Believe and dream, believe in your dreams, and move confidently in the direction of your dreams!

Here’s to our “lifetime”!

With blessings, love, light and gratitude,

Caron
